Summary
CHS in the Sharon Springs/Colby, KS area is looking for a Hazmat Truck Driver to join our team. This individual is responsible for hauling gas, diesel, and propane to our customers in a timely manner. In addition to driving you must be able to do service work, do basic maintenance around the bulk plant, and help the operations team. This is a M-F position with Saturdays as needed during our spring and fall busy seasons. The ideal candidate would possess a Class A or B CDL with their hazmat endorsement.

Responsibilities
Safely transport and deliver hazardous materials to customer locations using a semi-tractor and trailer and or bobtail truck in a safe, compliant manner, and timely manner.
Load and unload products by connecting/disconnecting loading arms and hoses; follow all hazardous material handling and transfer safety procedures.
Deliver professional, customer-focused service during pickups and deliveries, and coordinate with internal teams as needed.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report equipment issues, maintenance needs, incidents, or near misses promptly. Perform interior maintenance and upkeep as needed.
Prepare delivery documentation and daily load/unload reports; record accurate electronic logs
Comply with DOT regulations and company policies for safe driving, including route and hazard awareness. Immediately notify leadership of incidents, near misses, spills/releases, or safety concerns
Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (required)
Valid Class A or Class B CDL (as required for the equipment/route)
Valid Hazmat endorsement required, or willingness to obtain within the required timeframe.
Have a minimum of 1 year of verifiable CDL driving experience
Must meet age requirement
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and compliance, and complete required documentation accurately

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
